The FOS 55W Halogen Search Light, model FOSASLM-H55W, is a heavy-duty rechargeable search light built for powerful long-range warm-white illumination and enhanced operational control. Multi-Functional Soft-Touch Control Panel

The principal functional difference of the FOSASLM-H55W platform is its multi-functional soft-touch control panel. A separate Push-to-ON master switch provides the primary activation control, while the soft-touch panel adds more advanced operating functions.

The available operating functions include Continuous operation, Step-Type Light Dimming, a Time-Variable Auto Flasher and a Timer. The timer provides a 30-second automatic cut-off. Together, these controls allow the user to adapt the light output and behaviour to different operational requirements rather than relying on a single fixed-output mode.

The control panel supports System ON, step-type dimming, flasher-speed adjustment and timer operation. The mechanical master switch and the soft-touch panel are complementary: the master switch provides basic system activation while the control panel manages the additional operating functions.

Indicators and Special Control Functions

The established control-panel architecture includes status indicators for System ON, Battery Charging, Low Battery, AC/DC Fuse Blown and Timer Mode where applicable. These indicators provide useful operational feedback during use and charging.

The unit also includes an Auto Emergency Light function. If mains power fails while the search light is connected for charging, the light can illuminate automatically. This can be useful where the search light is kept connected and ready for emergency use.

A Light Memory function allows the search light to restart at the same dimming level at which it was previously switched off. The system also provides an Audible Endpoint Signal when the final adjustment level is reached while stepping through applicable dimmer or flasher settings.

6A DC Fuse Protection

The electrical protection architecture includes a 6A DC Fuse + Fuse Cap. This fuse arrangement is part of the established product-family design and should be treated as a protection component rather than as evidence of a DC charging function.

Heavy-Duty ABS Construction for Field Use

The search light has a black 3mm ABS plastic body designed for robust portable use. The front is protected by toughened glass, and the housing is specified as water-resistant / rain-proof. No IP rating is claimed for this model.

The product measures approximately 25 × 16.5 × 13.5 cm and weighs approximately 3.51 kg including the battery. A supplied shoulder belt / strap assists with carrying the unit between locations.
