FOS 50W Vehicle Mounted Rotating LED Search Light

The FOS 50W Vehicle Mounted Rotating LED Search Light is a professional directional lighting solution designed for outdoor applications where a powerful, remotely adjustable beam is required from a vehicle-based position. With a 50W LED system producing 5000 lumens, a 6000K Cool White output and a beam range of up to 500 metres, it is suited to long-range illumination across open areas, work sites, fields, roadsides and remote locations.

Unlike a handheld rechargeable search light, this model is designed around an external 12V / 24V DC power architecture. It has no internal rechargeable battery. Power is normally supplied through the car plug adapter/lead from a suitable 12V or 24V DC vehicle or external power source. This configuration is particularly appropriate where the light is intended to remain available on a vehicle or at a powered field position rather than being carried as a self-contained rechargeable torch.

50W LED Output with 5000 Lumens

The lighting system uses 10 × 5W LEDs for a total LED power rating of 50W. The resulting output is rated at 5000 lumens, providing strong illumination for long-distance observation and directional lighting tasks. Its 6000K Cool White colour temperature offers a clear, bright white beam that is well suited to outdoor inspection and operational use after dark.

The beam range is specified at up to 500m under suitable conditions. Actual visible range can vary with ambient light, weather, atmospheric conditions, mounting position and the characteristics of the area being illuminated.

12V / 24V DC External Power

This search light does not contain an internal rechargeable battery. It operates from an external 12V / 24V DC supply, with the normal connection made through the supplied car plug adapter/lead. This external-power design distinguishes it from FOS handheld rechargeable search lights and avoids implying any built-in charging, AC mains charging or solar-charging function.

For practical use, the power source should be compatible with the stated DC operating voltage and the installation should be arranged so that the power lead is routed safely for the intended application.

Remote-Controlled 360° / 120° Rotation

The rotating search-light head provides a mechanical movement range of 360° horizontally and 120° vertically. This allows the beam to be directed across a wide area without manually repositioning the complete light.

A wireless remote controller provides ON/OFF, Left, Right, Up and Down functions. These directional controls operate within the available mechanical movement range: the 360° horizontal and 120° vertical figures describe the head’s movement envelope, while Left, Right, Up and Down describe how the user directs the head through the remote control. The remote controller uses a 9V battery.

Heavy Magnetic Vehicle-Mounting Base

A heavy magnetic base allows the search light to be positioned on suitable ferrous vehicle surfaces for temporary vehicle-mounted use. This can simplify deployment where directional lighting is required without a permanent fixed installation. The magnetic mounting concept is intended for appropriate compatible surfaces; it should not be interpreted as a claim of universal compatibility, permanent mounting, certified road-speed performance or approval for operation on a moving vehicle.

Polycarbonate Construction and IP67 Protection

The light has a black polycarbonate body with a polycarbonate lens, combining a practical outdoor construction with an IP67 ingress-protection rating. IP67 indicates protection against dust ingress and temporary immersion under the conditions defined by the rating; it should not be interpreted as an unlimited or absolute waterproof claim.

An adjustable handle supports positioning and handling during setup. The product measures approximately 26 × 20.5 × 18 cm and weighs approximately 3.93 kg.
